Job Duties:
- Utilize specialized nursing knowledge, process and discriminative judgement while giving direct or indirect patient care.
- Maintains accurate records of controlled substances.
- Attends staff and committee maeetings, and in services, as required.
- Knowledgeable of and in complaince with adminsitrative, medical and nursing policies and procedures.
- Reports and completes appropriate forms for incidents involving patients, visitor and employees.
- Reports to supervisor andy needed reparis or maintenance of equipment in the Pre-Op/PACU. In the absence of the supervisor, notifies the appropriate departmetn and follows up on the problem.
- Administers and charges medications ordered by physicians.
- Checks chart for results of ordered pre-operative testing and calls for missing results.
- Admits patients to Pre-Op and PACU according to policy and procedrues.
- Communicates relevant patient information to Surgeon, Anesthesiologist, and Anesthetist, Director, Operating Room and Inpatient staff memers.
- Prepare and restock Pre-Op and PACU.
- Make post-operative phone calls for all outpatients.
Work Hours: Monday - Friday and ocassional Saturdays
1 FT position is available (primarily working 12 hours shifts Thursday and Friday and Monday or Tuesday based on the surgery schedule needs)
PRN - 8, 10 and 12 hr shifts available
