Patients & Visitors

At Pine Creek Medical Center, we value family-centered care and the dignity of the individual. To that end, we believe that visits from family members and friends play an important role in the healing process. We also believe that rest is important and that all patients deserve a quiet and private recovery period. Designated visiting hours and policies provide an effective mechanism to support these goals.
ABOUT VISITING PINE CREEK MEDICAL CENTER
Regular Visiting Hours
Regular visiting hours for the inpatient unit of the hospital are from
9:00 am – 8:00 pm, daily.
After 8:00 pm access to the hospital is monitored by security.
For safety and security visitors will need to ring the doorbell at the main entrance for entry into the hospital.
Patient Visitation
Patient visitation will be limited to two (2) people at any one time except under circumstances when more visitors are deemed necessary for the patient’s welfare.
Children under the age of 12 are not permitted on the inpatient unit. It is inappropriate for infants and children to be in a surgical patient’s room. If an adult visitor must bring a child with them to the hospital then another adult should stay with the child in the lobby during the visit.
Patients in the first few days after surgery are at a much higher risk of infection so visitors who have experienced a fever, cough, runny nose, sore throat, skin rash, vomiting or diarrhea in the last 48 hours before a visit is planned are discouraged from visiting until they are certain they will not expose the patient to more risk of disease.
Visitors who are disruptive or disturb patients, staff, or other visitors will be asked to stop the disruptive behavior or be escorted from the premises by security.
A sleeping chair is available in all patient rooms and one adult visitor is invited to spend the night with the patient. Please inform the nurse to obtain clean bedding for this chair.
No Smoking
There is no smoking allowed in the hospital and on most of the grounds. Visitors should be respectful of Pine Creek Medical Center ’s “No Smoking” policy.
CafÉ at Pine Creek
Visitors are welcome to enjoy dining in Café at Pine Creek. Breakfast and lunch will be served at the posted hours. One guest tray per meal can be purchased for $5.00 from dining services from 7:00 am to 6:30 pm for a visitor staying with a patient in the room.
Patient Survey
We value and need any feedback from our patients and their visitors. You will be provided an opportunity to complete a survey when you are discharged from our care. Please give us your thoughts on how to improve the care provided and any positive comments you have on the staff and hospital. These surveys may be left in your room, or given to the receptionist. We appreciate the time you take completing this survey.
